What Do I Need to Do Before Starting a Home Renovation Project in Wyckoff?

The township of Wyckoff requires homeowners in the town to obtain a building permit from the town’s Building Department before starting a construction or renovation project. Permits are required for all types of projects, from small construction jobs like installing a new interior or exterior entry to large jobs like adding a new bathroom to your home. The town’s website includes a full list of projects that require a permit in Wyckoff. Once you submit your permit application, the Building Department will have 20 working days to review it. Homeowners can use the town’s Permit Lookup Portal to check on the status of their permit. Issuing of the proper permits for your project helps ensure safety in your home once the project is completed. Construction permit applications can be dropped off at the right side of the Town Hall building in Wyckoff from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Permit-related questions can be directed to the Building Department, and once your permit is issued, we can get started on your home renovation project.

We used RWC to install 4 brand new windows in our home. This place is excellent and highly professional. We met with Anthony in early September at our home. We discussed what we envisioned to replace our old outdated front entry door. Anthony took measurements and suggested we visit the showroom where we could get a better idea of the doors they offered. We went and selected a door and received our quote a day or so later. We agreed to go ahead and a couple of days later Anthony came to our home with the contract. While there he re-measured for make certain every measurement was correct. Our door which had a custom feature came in late November. The installer (Brian) showed up right on time and the door arrived right afterward. They removed the old door and loaded it onto their truck for disposal. The complete installation went smoothly and by late afternoon we had a beautiful new door. Anthony came by in the afternoon to check on the progress. Needless to say we are very happy with RWC and have already recommended them to two different friends who need doors. We will definitely use them again.
